Bubba's back to his best

JOAQUIN NIEMANN held off Bubba Watson's final-round charge to win LIV Golf's UK leg — and pocket £3.2million.

Watson scorched through six holes at Staffordshire's JCB Club in eight under par.

But the Chilean star stayed calm for a three-stroke victory — his fifth on the lucrative LIV circuit this year.

He has won more than £16m — topping the £10.45m earned by world No.1 Scottie Scheffler, who has two Majors and two PGA Tour titles to his name.

“That's great, but I don’t play for the money,” said Niemann (top). “It's about the competition.”
