Bathers are warned to avoid water

VISITORS to a lake have been cautioned not to enter the water after sightings of stinging jellyfish.
The Skibbereen Heritage Centre in Co Cork posted the warning online with an image of one of the pink-purple pelagia mauve stingers spotted in Lough Hyne.
As well as causing pain that lasts for up to two weeks, the sting can result in random flareups for years afterwards.
