ARSONISTS 'TARGETED WRONG HOUSE'

AFTERMATH Gardai at the scene of blaze

A source told us as gardai hunt the thugs behind the attack in Finglas, north Dublin early yesterday: “There is a strong line of inquiry that they went for the wrong house.”

And the insiders also told us that the five people in the semidetached house when it was attacked just before lam were lucky to survive.

A source told The Star: “They were very lucky. There could easily have been fatalities in this.”

All five occupants of the property on Creston Avenue, three teenagers and two women, were hospitalised following the attack - and two suffered serious injuries.

They were both said to be seriously ill in hospital last night. One of the injured teenagers and a woman in her 40s suffered serious injuries in the horror attack - but the three other victims were less seriously injured.

Officers have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

Gardai said they and other emergency services including Dublin Fire Brigade rushed to the scene after the alarm was raised at 12.45am.
