Amazon's dedicated Irish site opens with special deliveries

SHOPPERS will now be able to browse a dedicated Amazon Ireland website after it launched yesterday.

Up until now, Irish consumers have had to use Amazon UK or other European versions.

Amazon.ie went live with the virtual store boasting more than 200 million products available to purchase with millions available for next-day delivery.

The dedicated Irish site will make it easier for customers here to know how much a product costs without having to worry about converting currencies.

As part of the launch, famous faces including Westlife's Nicky Byrne, model Vogue Williams, and former Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given delivered some of the first parcels.
