ALL-STAR NASH ON DRINK-DRIVE RAP

FORMER Cork All-Star hurler Anthony Nash is facing a drink-driving charge - less than a week after we revealed he is being prosecuted for alleged dangerous driving.

Mr Nash's case was mentioned briefly at Cork District Court yesterday.

The former Cork inter-county goalkeeper, 40, is alleged to have driven over the legal alcohol limit almost two years ago.

It’s alleged he operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol on August 9, 2023 in the Cloghroe area of Blarney, Co Cork.

It is alleged Mr Nash, with an address at Barters Wood, Tower, Blarney, had a reading of 236 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.
