Voters tell President: You're Don and dusted

THE headlines are already being written, though the man sulking in the Oval Office will pretend not to read them: the tide has turned.

- BY CHRISTOPHER BUCKTIN US EDITOR

The election of Zohran Mamdani as New York's 111th Mayor is more than a local upset. It is the first major, impossible-to-spin sign the public has begun to reject the catastrophic second Presidency of Donald Trump.

And nowhere has that rejection been louder than in the very places Trump once boasted were “trembling” before him: New York, New Jersey and Virginia.

New York City did not just choose a new Mayor. It chose a new direction, a new generation. Mamdani, 34, a state lawmaker, ran as a self-professed “worst nightmare” for Trump. That wasn't rhetorical bluster.
