Russia attacks Ukraine during Putin 'ceasefire'

RUSSIA broke its own unilateral Easter ceasefire to launch attacks on Ukraine with 59 shellings, “dozens” of drone strikes and five assaults on the front line.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said Moscow continued to launch attacks overnight after Vladimir Putin announced a temporary truce on Saturday.

Mr Zelensky said yesterday: “As of Easter morning, we can say that the Russian army is trying to create a general impression of a ceasefire but in some places it does not abandon individual attempts to advance and inflict losses on Ukraine.”
