Harry and King reunited after 20-month separation, Hopes meeting could mend dad and son's rift

- BY JENNIFER NEWTON Deputy Royal Editor and JOSHUA WHORMS

PRINCE Harry's reunion with King Charles yesterday raised hopes the feuding pair could heal their damaging rift.

Dad and son met for the first time in almost 20 months a meeting the Mirror exclusively revealed would happen.

Harry was driven through the gates of Charles's London home Clarence House after an earlier engagement at the Centre for Blast Injury Studies at Imperial College in the capital.

Royal sources confirmed the pair had a private tea together and 55 minutes after he arrived, the Prince was taken to an Invictus Games for injured former service personnel.

Charles flew from Balmoral, where he had spent the summer, and was seen arriving in a car at around 4pm. Harry arrived at 5.20pm after telling wellwishers who wanted selfies as he left Imperial College London around 3pm that he was running late.

The Duke left before 6.15pm and ducked down inside his car as he was driven away to the Gherkin for the Invictus event.
