Actor is sexual bully, court hears | Defence claims of ‘opportunists’

- AMY-CLARE MARTIN

'Spacey would grab the men ággressively..'

AMERICAN Beauty actor Kevin Spacey exploited his fame to "aggressively" grab men in the crotch, his trial has heard.

The jury was told yesterday he was a sexual bully who took "what and who he wanted when he wanted".

The two-time Oscar-winning actor, 63, is accused of attacking four men over 12 years, from 2001 to 2013.

He denies all the allegations, which his lawyer said contained "many damned lies".

One man claims he awoke to find the Hollywood star performing a sex act on him without his consent.

In her opening statement yesterday, Christine Agnew KC described Spacey as a man who sexually assaults other men and respects no personal boundaries or space.

The prosecutor added: "A man who it would seem delights in making others feel powerless and uncomfortable a sexual bully.

"His preferred method of assault... is to grab aggressively other men in the crotch.

Ms Agnew told the jury that while they may feel starstruck, they must stay grounded as they hear evidence against the Usual Suspects star.
