Simon spins lot of plates to earn pay

SIMON Delaney has said he would be “living under a bridge" if he relied on wages from being an actor.

Speaking to Mark Moriarty on his podcast Roasted, Simon said his kids think their world-renowned acting dad is worth millions, going by Google's figure of between €25-35million.

But he said: "If I lived off the wages of a theatre actor I'd be living under a bridge."

The Dublin-born actor, who made his debut as a Roman centurion in the musical Godspell in 1992, gave a matter-of-fact account of an actor's life, even one as experienced as himself.

He said: "We're a single income household.
