Anthony full of praise for Marcus, a rival for England spot on wing

ANTHONY GORDON has described his main rival for an England starting place as 'unbelievable' and given a fascinating insight into a player who has divided opinion in recent years.

Thomas Tuchel has always been a fan of Marcus Rashford but gave Gordon the nod for the 5-0 win in Serbia last month.

But Rashford did score in that stunning victory in Belgrade, having replaced Gordon midway through the second half and converted a late penalty.

And Gordon, 24, has nothing but admiration for the Manchester United attacker, now on loan at Barcelona.

"His mindset is unbelievable. People have written him off and he's been through so much over the past couple of years," said Gordon.

"To get back to these levels... people will never understand how hard that is to do. He deserves a lot of credit.

"He's a lovely guy. He's quiet, nice and just goes about his business.
