Player's relief at being unable to unlock box holding €500k ticket

A LUCKY Lotto player who scooped a half a million euro prize waited until just days before the deadline to collect it after losing the key to the locked box they kept the ticket in.

The player admitted that they knew all along that they had won the top prize in the October 12 draw, but waited nearly 90 days to claim their prize from the National Lottery HQ last Saturday.

On the night of the draw, the player checked their ticket using the National Lottery app.
