England captain: Get off 'corrosive' social media
MARO ITOJE has slammed the “corrosive” effects of social media in the wake of the racism storm engulfing Edwin Edogbo.
Ireland head coach Andy Farrell condemned the “disgusting” abuse aimed at Edogbo, who was targeted by keyboard warriors after making his debut against Italy last weekend.
The IRFU are investigating the comments on their own channels and Itoje has given his support to the Cork-born lock (below).
England captain Itoje said: “I would advise all top-level athletes not to spend too much time on social media because it’s really corrosive.
