Tractor Boys are urged to dig a little deeper
-
IPSWICH boss Kieran McKenna admitted a lack of cutting edge cost his side in their battle with fellow promotion favourites Southampton.
A Taylor Harwood-Bellis own goal after four minutes gave McKenna’s side an early advantage but Jay Robinson equalised for the visitors 16 minutes before the break (inset).
Sammie Szmodics hit the Saints’ post, while Robinson had a shot deflected away by Tractor Boys goalkeeper Alex Palmer as neither side were able to grab victory in a frantic second half.
McKenna (left) has seen star striker Liam Delap join Chelsea — and his men are still winless this season.
