Pest control deal with rodents and insects at Oberstown
RATS, flies, ants and a “mummified mouse” were among the pests that had to be dealt with at a detention centre for young offenders last year.
Records released under the Freedom of Information Act show management at Oberstown battled a variety of pests during 2025, with exterminators highlighting a “high risk” of reinfestation by rats from neighbouring land.
