Ex-soccer star faced backlash over claims he said he was better than Stevie & Lamps
FORMER soccer star Stephen Ireland has revealed the trauma he suffered due to "worldwide abuse".
The 37-year-old ex-Manchester City and Ireland player denied claiming he was better than Premier League greats Paul Scholes, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard.
He branded the claims "ridiculous" and revealed the abuse he got really "hurt".
