Out-half refuses to live in the past and is only concerned about what he can bring in present
JACK CROWLEY isn't focused on his rivals for the Ireland No.10 shirt - only the pursuit of getting better every time he pulls it on.
And neither is he interested in what has gone before, instead living in the present as he bids to keep hold of the jersey.
The Munster out-half saw Sam Prendergast selected ahead of him for the opening defeat in France and then the struggle past Italy in Dublin.
Failure to gain a bonus point against the Azzurri led to the big switch game, Prendergast taken out of the frontline at Twickenham with Crowley given a new chance to impress.
It was up to him to get it right with next year's World Cup too close for bad rehearsals in the 'big' games in the 'big' stadiums.
His bounce back in London was indeed impressive but it comes with a reminder that there was one helluva self-destructive start by England.
Ciaran Frawley gets the nod again tonight as his backup with Prendergast not in the matchday squad. The latter needs game-time to prove his case but it looks like he will have to wait for that with Leinster, specifically the Champions Cup Last 16 game with Edinburgh.
