Balmoral emails from 'Invisible Man', Maxwell is told to bring 'fun people'

- CHRISTOPHER BUCKTIN

ON the same day the then Prince Andrew was staying at Balmoral with the Queen and his two young daughters, an email was sent to Ghislaine Maxwell.

The sender, who signs off as "A", asks the convicted teen sex-trafficker to find him some "new inappropriate friends".

The message was disclosed as part of more than 10,000 pages of material in the latest tranche of Jeffrey Epstein documents published by the US Department of Justice.

The correspondence between Maxwell and "A", who said he was at Balmoral, was dated August 16, 2001, the same day the Queen carried out an investiture at the Scottish Castle for her equerry, Simon Brailsford.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, whose friendship with Jeffrey Epstein led to him being stripped of all his titles and patronages, landed at Aberdeen Airport on his way to Balmoral two days before the email was sent.

In it, "A" tells Maxwell: "I am up here at Balmoral Summer Camp for the Royal Family.

"Activities take place all day, and I am totally exhausted at the end of each day. The Girls are completely shattered, and I will have to give them an early night today as it is getting tiring splitting them up all the time!"

UPHEAVAL

Princess Beatrice was 13 at the time while her sister, Princess Eugenie, was 11.

"A" then goes on to ask Maxwell: "How's LA? Have you found me some new inappropriate friends?" He adds that he is free between August 25 and September 2 and wants to go somewhere "hot and sunny with some fun people" before returning to work.

The same correspondent, who also nicknames himself "The Invisible Man", later tells Maxwell he is "distraught" that she could only find him "appropriate friends".

Two days after the exchange, "A" writes again, describing upheaval in his personal life following the death of his valet.

The email says: "You probably wouldn't know but I lost my valet on Thursday.
