Torrential rainfall sparks flash floods and danger for drivers
TORRENTIAL rain sparked more flash flooding as Met Eireann warned further storms are on the way.
With temperatures hovering around 22C, lightning bolts lit up the sky and thunder rattled menacingly. The meterological phenomena of a funnel cloud was even spotted over Dublin Airport.
A Status Orange thunderstorm and rain warning for the whole country expired at 6pm yesterday while a Status Yellow warning was in place until 10pm.
