Fin-credibly happy for 8th year in row

FINLAND is the happiest place in the world for the eighth year in a row, according to the World Happiness Report 2025.

Denmark, Iceland and Sweden also remained in the top four and in the same order, the report published today reveals.

Ireland is now ranked in 15th place, a drop on 14, which it held for the past three years.

The United Kingdom is 23rd in the happiness league table, which is its lowest position since 2017, a time when the divisive Brexit vote had taken place just months prior.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump's America came 24th.

The study by the Wellbeing Research Centre at the University of Oxford was done in partnership with the analytics firm Gallup and the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
