JAILED transgender row teacher Enoch Burke is being detained alongside rapists and paedophiles, we can reveal.

He is being held on a landing in Mountjoy Prison in part of the old St Patrick's Institute building.

Burke has a cell on his own and is not sharing with other prisoners despite the overcrowding crisis.

There are around 200 inmates in Mountjoy West with up to 70% of them sex offenders.

Among those Burke is incarcerated with is rapist Raymond Shorten, jailed for 30 years last year.

The cabbie was convicted for raping two female passengers in 2022 for which he got 17 years.
