BRAD ARTHUR has been interviewed for the England job.

The Leeds boss expects to hear a verdict from the RFL’s appointment panel next week on whether he is the new head coach.

The governing body, led by RFL senior executive director Nigel Wood, are conducting interviews this week after Shaun Wane stepped down from the England job earlier this year.

Other candidates are understood to include Sam Burgess, Paul Rowley, Steve McNamara, and Brian McDermott.

But Arthur, who has done an impressive job to turn the Rhinos into Super League title hopefuls once again, is very much in the running for the role.
