No limits to Nancy's Celts ambition

- BY MICHAEL GANNON

WILFRIED NANCY insists he can handle the heat at Celtic as the new boss told fans to aim for the impossible.

The Frenchman revealed Hoops coaches Gavin Strachan and Stevie Woods will remain part of his backroom staff as he gears up for a baptism of fire against Hearts tomorrow.

Nancy is being launched in at the deep end with Roma up in midweek before next Sunday's Premier Sports Cup final against St Mirren following Martin O'Neill's (right) successful stint in charge.

And the crunch clashes are all taking place against a backdrop of fan unrest. Nancy insisted he's well aware of all the challenges - and he's really to take them head on.

The former Columbus Crew head coach said: “I know where I am.

“Celtic is like this and I’m really happy to be here. Pressure is part of our job. You have the right to criticise me regarding what I'm going to do.

“You don't have the badges, but I know that this is your job and I know that this is part of my job.

“The Celtic fans love the club. And when you love someone, sometimes, depending on the way you are, it could be different. It’s passion. I'm very pleased with that, because my job is not a normal job, with a lot of humility.
