Lamps fears Sky Blues meltdown without January signings

- BY ANDY TURNER

COVENTRY boss Frank Lampard has warned his Sky Blues bosses he needs reinforcements to bolster their chances of being promoted to the Premier League.

Lampard's side sit top of the Championship, 10 points clear of third in the race for the top flight.

But the former Chelsea and England great has seen their bid stumble in December.

After opening the season with just one loss in the first 18 games, December has seen them struggle, with a run of two wins, two draws and two defeats - both against Ipswich - without scoring a goal.

They scored a total of just four goals scored in those six games.

Now Lampard wants help in the January transfer window to ensure the club continues to push for promotion in the second half of the season.
