Tammy reunion on the radar as Emery looks to sharpen attack
UNAI EMERY confirmed that Aston Villa are looking to replace Donyell Malen with a new striker amid links with Tammy Abraham.
Malen has joined Roma on loan with an obligation to buy, freeing up space for Villa to strengthen their attack.
Emery now wants to bring in a striker, with reports suggesting former England and Chelsea star Abraham - who spent a season on loan at Villa Park in 2018-19 - is the prime target.
Abraham is on loan from Roma to Besiktas, who have an obligation to buy the 28-year-old in the summer, unless Villa can strike a deal.
Emery said: "I arrived here three-and-a-half years ago and we had [Ollie] Watkins and [Danny] Ings. Ings left because he had offers and good deals with other clubs. In that moment, it was the same situation as now.
"He was performing well, he was a striker competing with Watkins, and he decided to leave.
