PLANS FOR NEW PORT OF HULL TURBINE TO GO BEFORE PUBLIC
PLANS by Associated British Ports (ABP) for an onshore wind turbine at Port of Hull are set to go before the public.
ABP - owner and operator of the four ports of Immingham, Grimsby, Goole, and Hull - has been busy reducing its emissions by more than 40 per cent since 2014, with renewable energy generation across it bases playing a key role.
To boost its decarbonisation efforts and to help control electricity costs for the ports, ABP is forging ahead with plans to construct onshore wind turbines at Grimsby, Immingham, and Hull.
The firm will continue to invest in solar generation, but onshore wind will have the ability to generate power 24 hours a day, all year round.
