JAKIROVIC GIVES WORRYING UPDATE ON TIGERS' STAR PALMER

HULL City head coach Sergej Jakirovic says he does not know what the future holds for midfielder Kasey Palmer after he was left out of the squad for Saturday's 1-0 win over Sheffield United.

Jakirovic revealed Palmer was not ready to be involved against the Blades after being left out of the squad initially when the players were made aware of the matchday 18 on Friday, having been hauled off at halftime of Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Preston.

Striker Kyle Joseph pulled out of the game on Saturday morning through illness, which meant City went into the contest against the Blades with only eight substitutes named instead of the usual nine.

The City head coach appeared distinctly unimpressed and demanded Palmer give everything for the club that pays his wages.
