Wane slams claims on Connor omission

ENGLAND head coach Shaun Wane has pushed back against claims about his relationship with Jake Connor, admitting that previous insinuations made by Sky Sports leading presenter Brian Carney "pi****" him off.

Connor was previously grilled by Carney about his England situation back in July. The Leeds star however was reluctant to say too much, having been omitted from the extended train-on squad named earlier this year.
The new Man of Steel has now been officially left out of England's Ashes squad for the three-Test series, but Wane insists he has a good relationship with the playmaker and rejects any personal claims.
Wane was the latest guest on All Out Rugby League's Back Ten podcast.
