Police called to reports of 'teens throwing fireworks' in Bransholme

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested following reports of teenagers "throwing fireworks" in the Bransholme area.

Police say they were called to Dalwood Close just before 7pm on Sunday.
While attempting to detain a teenager at the scene who is alleged to have been involved, an officer was reportedly assaulted but was not seriously injured. A search of the teenager also saw "a small quantity of what is believed to be class B drugs" discovered.
Thankfully, nobody is understood to have been injured by the fireworks and "no properties are believe to have been damaged".
