SEASONED PERFORMERS ON THE LIVE CIRCUIT
CHRISTMAS Eve is here and the start of Christmas festivities features some excellent entertainment to enjoy. Many venues are putting on Christmas Eve entertainment, including popular local entertainer Lee Kamen, who is the guest artist at the Hornsea Ex-Servicemen's club on Back Southgate in Hornsea.
It's fair to say that he's had a varied and successful career.
Lee said: "Back in 1993, I started a trio called Elegance with two local girl singers Sammy Petrini and Kerry Thornton and we worked the clubs and pubs for around a year.
"Just for fun, in 1996 with my friends Andy Wilkins and Wes Freeman, we entered the Southcoates club talent competition run by proprietor Mike Bullock. We did really well, won the competition from there I went onto form another group called Westzone which included Wes Freeman, Steve James and Michael Hill.
"We had some fun and the band worked for a couple of years before parting company to start different projects."
Always keen on classical music, in 2006 Lee formed the successful vocal outfit Ti Amero which included singers Steve James, Ric Owen and Mark Andrews and they quickly became popular not just locally but country wide.
Musically, over the last few years Lee has worked on different projects with his latest one being an 80s tribute show. He always puts his heart and soul into everything he does and is always heavily involved in charity work, helping to raise many thousands of pounds for charity including big events at the Hull New Theatre and City Hall.
A HULL girl through and thorough, local vocalist Serena Williams is the Christmas Eve entertainment at The Welton Memorial club in the village of Welton.
