'Livid' McNamara admits Robins deserved to win
Hull Daily Mail

STEVE McNamara was furious with the match officials following Catalans Dragons' defeat to Hull KR after lamenting the fact they did not earn a single penalty or six again all game.
-
The Dragons were knocked out of the Challenge Cup by Rovers, who dominated in the second half to win 36-12. But McNamara was livid with the way the game was officiated.
McNamara was keen for it to be noted he felt the Robins were worthy winners on the day but said he felt he had to speak up on the officiating, with the majority of his press conference being taken up by that matter.
"Overall assessment, Hull KR are the best team. Hull KR deserve to win," he said.
"But I want to know if you can go 80 minutes and not receive one penalty or one six again. Sorry, we've got one penalty, Hull KR kicked out on the full. That's nearly impossible in this game.
"In a semi-final, a neutral venue, not to receive one penalty. The game is attritional. Momentum can swing really, really quickly on the back of decisions and calls.
"We look on the back end of the scoreboard there, it's a big, big scoreline against us. So nobody will probably say anything, but that's nearly impossible. It's nearly impossible to go 80 minutes.
