HULL FC have been dealt a fresh hammer blow, with Liam Knight picking up a stress fracture to his ankle and unlikely to play again this season.

The news is a crushing blow to the Black and Whites, with the prop forward ever present since coming into the side back in March.

After an impressive run of form, the 30-year-old signed a new deal earlier this season to take his stay into 2026, but his 2025 campaign could now be done and dusted with just seven rounds of the regular season to go.

Confirming the blow, John Cartwright told Hull Live: “We've had some bad news with Liam. He's got a stress fracture in his ankle. It’s just a stress fracture, but he'll be going in for some surgery. We'll be lucky to see him again this year”

Elsewhere, Hull will give Will Pryce and John Asiata as long as possible to prove their fitness ahead of Sunday's clash against Salford Red Devils.

The duo have been out with hamstring injuries since May but are expected to return to action.

However, Cartwright, as reported by Hull Live on Monday, won't make a call on the duo until later this week.
