FORMER GIRLFRIEND WAS LEFT WITH BLACK EYES, CUTS AND BITE MARKS

- By MARK NAYLOR

A TERRIFIED woman was left with nasty injuries, including two black eyes, after her bad-tempered ex-boyfriend suddenly grabbed hold of her, pulled her out of bed and bit her on her face.

Kieron Pidd had a history of violence, including to women, and he had drunk five cans of rum before he attacked the woman in a “prolonged and persistent” assault that left her suffering serious anxiety problems, Hull Crown Court heard.

Pidd, 36, of Tenterden Close, Bransholme, Hull, admitted assaulting the woman, causing actual bodily harm, on September 3, 2023. He originally denied the offence at a hearing on September 5 and the case had been listed for trial.

Holly Thompson, prosecuting, said that Pidd and the woman were in a rela-tionship for about eight weeks between July and the end of August, 2023. They were both at her home on September 2, 2023, and they had been drinking.
