ELECTRIC-POWERED QUADRACYCLE WILL BE USED TO CARRY ESSENTIALS AROUND SITE
CASTLE Hill Hospital is going green with a carbon-saving electric bike for porters.
The electric-powered quadracycle will be used for carrying linen, gas cylinders, other medical equipment and essentials around the 168-acre hospital site in Cottingham.
It is among the first NHS sites in the country to use one in a bid to increase sustainability and promote workforce wellbeing.
The electric-powered quadracycle operates in a similar way to an electric cycle, with users needing to pedal in order to gain assistance for the electric motor.
