A DRUG-addicted burglar who walked into a house at 4am later tried to talk his way out of trouble by pretending that he thought it was the home of a woman who desperately wanted to see him again after a sizzling “one-night stand”.

Drug addict Luke Appleby shamelessly tried to brazen it out by claiming that it was all a “misunderstanding” and a “mistake” and that all he had done was inadvertently open the door of the wrong house.

He would have tried to steal what he could but he was immediately challenged by a man who had been sleeping on a sofa, Hull Crown Court heard.
