THE myth that renewable energy will lead to higher bills seems to be gaining ground in right-wing politics and many mainstream media outlets.
As Anushka Asthana recently pointed out to Kemi Badenoch on Robert Peston's programme, UK electricity prices are higher than those in many of our European counterparts because the wholesale electricity price is largely driven by global gas prices, with gas accounting for the majority of our energy supply.
