Officer found not guilty of GBH against 17-yr-old near nightspot

A NORTH Wales Police officer, accused of kneeing a teenager so severely that he lost “half a testicle” has been cleared by a jury.

PC Ellis Thomas was found not guilty of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) by a jury at Mold Crown Court last week.

PC Thomas 25, of Gaerwen, Anglesey, had denied assaulting Harley Murphy, who was then 17, near the Cube nightspot at Bangor in January 2023.

He had insisted throughout the six-day trial that he hadn’t kneed Mr Murphy, who is now 19, in the testicles, following an incident outside the nightspot at closing time.
