'Start of new era': Shah hails Ram Temple event

India's spiritual consciousness was reawakened on January 22, Union home minister Amit Shah said on Saturday as the Lok Sabha passed a resolution on the construction of the Ram Temple and the consecration of the deity.

In the Rajya Sabha, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda, too, asserted that the party's commitment towards building the Ram Temple was unwavering, whether it was when it had just two lawmakers in Parliament and even now, when the number has risen to 303. "The nation's wish was fulfilled through respected Modi's hand on January 22 in that victorious and auspicious time (mahurath). This fight has been going on since 1528.
