PM to chair defence meet; reforms, readiness in focus

Transformation and reforms in the military along with its operational readiness will be in sharp focus at the Combined Commanders' Conference (CCC) to be held in Kolkata next week, with the three-day meet to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 15, the defence ministry said on Monday.

"The CCC-2025 will focus on reforms, transformation and change, and operational preparedness. Together, these reflect the armed forces' commitment to institutional reforms, deeper integration and technological modernisation, while sustaining a high level of multi-domain operational readiness," it said in a statement.
The theme for this year's conference is Year of Reforms Transforming for the Future.
The deliberations, the defence ministry said, will seek to further strengthen the armed forces which face an increasingly complex geo-strategic landscape.
