Meta's popular chatbots engage in sexual talks with children: Report

Meta's Artificial Intelligence-powered chatbots on Facebook and Instagram are engaging in graphic sex talks with users including children, a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) investigation has found The company is rushing to popularise these bots that may have crossed ethical lines, including by quietly endowing AI personas with the capacity for fantasy sex, according to people who worked on them.

To boost the popularity of these chatbots, Meta has cut financial deals with celebrities like actresses Kristen Bell and Judi Dench and wrestler-turned-actor John Cena for the rights to use their voices. Meta has assured them that it would prevent their voices from being used in sexually explicit discussions, according to people familiar with the matter.
