Govt: No justification given to drop Delhi's R-Day tableau

Delhi art, culture and languages minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Friday said the Union government, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party BJP), has not accepted the tableaux of the Delhi and Punjab governments, ruled by Aam Aadmi Party AAP), due its to ill-will towards the party.

“It is regrettable that for the last three years, the central government has been rejecting the tableau proposal given by the Delhi government without any basis. Delhi is the capital of the country and the January 26 parade takes place in the city. But the Delhi government is not being allowed to showcase its tableau,” Bharadwaj said at a press conference on Friday. The remarks came a day after the AAP and the BJP sparred after the former
