BJP's poll promises a flop show, says Gehlot

All the issues that were raised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the election turned into a flop-show, former chief minister Ashok Gehlot said in Jodhpur on Saturday.
JAIPUR: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Madan Rathore was unanimously re-elected as the state party president on Saturday, the second time in seven months.
Former Gujarat chief minister and election in-charge Vijay Rupani made the announcement at the party office in Jaipur in the presence of state in-charge Radha Moha Das Agarwal and other senior party leaders. Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, former CM Vasundhara Raje and other party leaders congratulated Rathore after his appointment.
Rathore was appointed as the Rajasthan BJP president on July 26 last year. Under his tenure, the BJP went into the bypolls and notched up a good performance. Of the seven bypolls, the BJP ended up winning five, its best performance in a decade.
Rathore had filed his nomination for the post on Saturday. The CM and former CM Raje were among Rathore's proposers. The party also made the announcement of 25 national council members who were nominated by the party.
