Tribals Plan To Intensify Stir Over Flyover Ramp

A section of the tribal community on Saturday announced plans to intensify their protest, demanding the removal of the ramp of the under-construction rail overbridge outside the Siramtoli Sarna Sthal, with agitators deciding to burn effigies of the chief minister across the state.

A section of the tribal community has been on the streets protesting the construction of the ramp, which allegedly obstructs the entrance to the Siramtoli Sarna Sthal—one of the most revered places of worship for the community where processions from across the state capital converge during Sarhul, the most important festival of the community.
