State Invites Spanish, Swedish Firms To Invest In Mining, Manufacturing

The official delegation led by chief minister Hemant Soren has invited Spanish and Swedish firms to invest in the mining and manufacturing sectors in Jharkhand, putting forth the advantages of investing in the resource-rich state, people aware of the development said on Sunday.

The delegation, which included chief secretary Alka Tiwari, additional chief secretary to the chief minister Avinash Kumar, and senior officials from the mines and industry department, was on an eight-day trip to Spain and Sweden that ended on Sunday.

People aware of the development said the high-level team interacted with stakeholders in the two countries and got firsthand experience with key projects in sectors including mining, manufacturing, and non-renewable energy. The delegation pitched for investment, especially in the mining and manufacturing of mining equipment sectors, officials said.
