Assam chief minister (CM) Himanta Biswa Sarma has refuted all allegations and sought the quashing of a case filed by All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Rashid Hussain alias Babar Khan during the 2024 assembly elections, people close to the matter said on Friday.
JAMSHEDPUR:
On November 6, 2024, Khan filed a case against Sarma in the CJM court over the latter's speech at an election rally in Jamshedpur on October 24, alleging that the Assam chief minister had reportedly said that "all the offspring of Babur would be found out and kicked out".
