Ineligible beneficiaries should step back on their own: Godara

BIKANER: State food and civil supplies minister Sumit Godara said on Sunday that by next year, the Rajasthan government will implement a streamlined system ensuring that any eligible person applying for food security benefits will receive them immediately.

His comments came during an exclusive conversation with HT at his residence in Bikaner on Sunday.

Godara said that this is the final opportunity for ineligible individuals to voluntarily withdraw their names from welfare schemes. "Those misusing the system should step back on their own now. This is the last chance," he said.

Highlighting the success of the Give-Up Campaign, he shared that nearly 1.702 million people have exited the scheme voluntarily since November 1, resulting in an anticipated saving of around ₹375 crore.
