EARLIER LALU PRASAD HAD SAID BJP-NDA WAS THE REAL ENEMY OF RESERVATION, AS THEY HAD ROBBED RESERVED CATEGORIES OF THOUSANDS OF JOBS
PATNA: Amid Opposition RJD's attack following the belated cabinet expansion in Bihar with induction of BJP ministers only, the JD(U) on Thursday hit back, saying there was no surprise in it for them to feel happy about.
"The cabinet expansion was long awaited and it has happened. It is a known fact that the BJP is the largest party in Vidhan Sabha and it has got the largest share. The restlessness in the RJD is understandable, as it cannot see beyond caste to further its own politics ends, though voter behaviour has undergone a sea change due to inclusive development," said JD(U) spokesman Neeraj Kumar, MLC.
On Tejashwi's allegation at a party function that the BJP was 'aarakshankhor' (reservation eater), the JD(U) leader cited Election Commission sample survey in 2024, saying the report had clearly indicated that voting on the basis of caste and religion was one of the lowest in Bihar and RJD would not be able to benefit by raising caste bogey.
Tejashwi had said "just like 'adamkhor' (man-eater), the BJP was 'aarakshankhor and aarakshan chor (quota eater and quota thief)".
