135th b'day: All major parties pay rich tributes to Babasaheb

Rich tributes were paid to Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar on his 135th birth anniversary on Monday with the ruling NDA partners and opposition parties organising separate events to mark the occasion.

BETTIAH: Rich tributes were paid to Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar on his 135th birth anniversary on Monday with the ruling NDA partners and opposition parties organising separate events to mark the occasion.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid rich tributes to Dr Ambedkar while garlanding his statue near Patna High court in the morning and later, attended several events organised to mark the birth anniversary of the architect of Indian constitution. The chief minister launched the 'Ambedkar Samagra Seva Abhiyan', a campaign aimed at ensuring that schemes meant for tribals and Dalits reached all the intended beneficiaries.
