The Kendra Dance Festival, an offering of the Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra's (SBKK), returns to the Capital with three performances that will celebrate the nation's resilience and values, in the backdrop of the recent Indo-Pak conflict.

- Ridhima Gupta

NEW DELHI: The performances by SBKK's Kendra Dance Repertory — which will be a fusion of various Indian folk forms — will be held at Kamani Auditorium on May 25, 27, and 29, at 7pm.

In a press note, SBKK said, "While the nation salutes the bravery and precision of its armed forces in neutralising enemy threats across the western border, the Kendra's stage becomes a mirror of that inner fortitude — where stories of devotion, morality, struggle, and transcendance echo the very spirit that defines India today."

On May 25, the troupe will present a Rajasthani and Gujarati musical performance titled "Meera". The second performance titled "Parikrama," a blend of dance-martial style explores the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. The final performance on May 29 titled "Karna" reimagines the life of Karna, the warrior in Hindu mythological text Mahabharata.
