NEW DELHI: In the cramped, bustling lanes of Rodgran, tucked away near Sadanand Marg in central Delhi, a quiet transformation has been unfolding over the past two weeks. A modest single-storey building, once known simply as a mohalla clinic, now stands out with its fresh coat of yellow and red paint, reborn as an Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AAM).

Posters outlining age-specific yoga routines line the walls inside, while workers hammer away outside, racing to meet Saturday's launch deadline.

This revamped centre is one of 33 AAMs set to be inaugurated across the Capital this weekend. But beneath the surface makeover lies a deeper shift—the rebranding of Delhi's mohalla clinics, a flagship initiative of the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, into a new model under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led administration. What once symbolised the AAP's vision of decentralised, doorstep healthcare is now part of a broader, centrally branded healthcare push—signalling a new advance in Delhi's health care system.
